COUNT YOUR “V” BLESSINGS

We’re almost at the end of our “Count Your Many Blessings” project, and today we get to list our “V” blessings. Some “V” blessings that I’m thankful for are: victory, valentines, vegetables, vacations, visas, variety, vim and vigor.

Vim and vigor (energy, enthusiasm) remind me of the recommendation given by wise King Solomon. Thousands of years ago, he wrote, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.” (Ecclesiastes 9:10) The Apostle Paul took it one step further and wrote “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23,24)

No one likes to have a lazy slacker hanging around. In the case of Christ-followers, His strength and joy are our motivation as we go about our daily activities with vim and vigor. When we do everything as to Him, we do it enthusiastically.

Let’s get our work done today with those essential “V” blessings: vim and vigor!

I agree with your V list, also. I especially like the Victory (in Jesus) one, and the vim and vigor. Reminds me of Mom and Dad…they kept going like the Ever ready bunny!
