Here are six things that God hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion:
eyes that are arrogant,
a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent,
a heart that hatches evil plots,
feet that race down a wicked track,
a mouth that lies under oath,
a troublemaker in the family.
(Proverbs 6:16-19, “The Message”)
God passionately hates to see man, created in His own image, make wrong choices. We all sin. Just as he “loathes with a passion” those sins that King Solomon listed in the passage above, He loves us with passion.
That’s why He provided forgiveness through His Son Jesus.
When we receive Jesus and seek the forgiveness God offers us through Him, He removes our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. Then we live with the assurance of God’s eternal, passionate love for us.
Prayer: God, we thank you again today for Your passionate love for us, and the forgiveness we have only in Jesus. Amen!
